PERSONAL:

I'm trying to maintain a position of stewardship in my life and in the lives of those I love.

I am blessed with Lori in my life. Combined, we have seven wonderful, unique, and talented adult children: Kyle, Matthew, Micah, Nathan, Shelby, James, and Jonathan. And to that mix we add Kyle's wife Tatiana and daughter Gwendolyn, and Shelby's husband Bryan and daughter Beatrix ... we are blessed to have such a smart, wild and crazy crew.

I like theology, science, music and, of course, personal liberty. For fun I play timpani and percussion in several community and semi-pro symphony orchestras, and I play timpani as a contract musician for liturgical and special events. Over the years, I've also enjoy playing rock drums at various gigs.

PROFESSIONAL:

I've been working in research and clinical neuroscience since 1985: Cognitive Neuroscience, Visual Electrophysiology, EEG, Sleep, and Surgical Neurophysiology. I have a baccalaureate in biological sciences from the University of Houston at Clear Lake with more than 35 years of continuing education in the field of neuroscience, allied health and surgical neurophysiology. I am also board Certified in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM).
